Compatible Wind Ensembles: Concert Duets

This edition has 6 different instrument options; carefully choose your desired instrument(s) from the options above before adding to your cart.

This edition consists of 18 duets that can be played by any combination of wind instruments, arranged by Travis J. Weller.  The duets are 1–2 pages long, and are suitable for beginners.  

The six books will support the following instruments:

1. Flute/Oboe
2. Clarinet/Trumpet/Euphonium (tenor cleff)/Tenor Saxophone
3. Alto Saxophone/Baritone Saxophone
4. Horn in F
5. Trombone/Bassoon/Euphonium
6. Tuba

If you want a mixed instrumentation, then simply purchase the corresponding books. For example, to have a flute and clarinet duet combination, purchase one "Flute/Oboe" book and one "Clarinet/Trumpet/[etc.]" book.

"These duets are set in a variety of developmentally appropriate key signatures, time signatures, and technical levels so that each line is on a similar level of ability. There are different musical challenges in each piece that will hopefully give students the opportunity to make a musical decision that matters. It is important to me that as many people as possible can see and hear themselves in the titles, the composers, and the styles of the music. When two people can get together, understand and work with each other, and perform music for others, the world is a much better place."
