"Have you ever needed to put on a performance of the full Nutcracker ballet but only had access to a professional clarinet choir and single percussionist? Fear no more! The entire ballet has been here transcribed so that you too can bring joy to millions with
the classic holiday tale.A minimum of 14 players is expected to cover all parts. If additional players are available, alto parts should be doubled first, then B♭s (particularly the lower parts), then basses, then contras, and only then should E♭ be doubled. If at all possible, the E♭ clarinet
should play the upper octave when written!Individual movements may of course be excerpted!
Judicious use of one-on-a-part may be made in all parts, particularly the higher ones, and particularly in larger ensembles, to allow clarity and brilliance to shine through."
