From the Foreword by Bernard Van Doren:
"It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Writing the Vandoren WAVE written by Mitchell Estrin. His musical life as an orchestral clarinetist, recording musician, teacher, author, and clarinet ambassador gives him a unique perspective and voice in the world of clarinet. [...] I anticipate you will enjoy reading his book and gain valuable insights to enhance your knowledge, improve your technique, musicianship, and artistry."

The 92 articles are organized into the following categories: Foundation, For the Student, Teaching, Repertoire, Top 10 Lists, Equipment, Notable People and Musical Genres, and Clarinet Trivia Quizzes.  With each article at 12 pages long, they are easy to pick up for a brief shot of inspiration or guidance.

A few highlighted subjects: how to prepare for college auditions and recital programs, lesser-known masterpiece clarinet repertoire, guide to winterizing clarinet equipment, and experiences in the commercial recording studio.  See the complete table of contents here.
